1994 Mazda Miata R package - $6000
Category: Import
Status: Clean Title
I have a 1994 Mazda Miata R package for sale, in USA - Michigan.
Mileage: 94000 miles
Engine Size: 1.8
Asking price is $7000
1994 Miata R Package
1.8L, LSD, lightest NA8, most desirable year R package (real oil pressure gauge)
Black, 94k miles. I bought the car with 86k miles in June 2009 when it was stock to use as a fun car to drive on nice days and do an occasional track day. Since then, a lot of time and money has gone into the car. Only about 3 track days were done, though. It was garaged and stored in the winters while in my possession until April 2011. I’m selling it because I don’t drive it (obviously) and am looking to buy a house in the near future.
Engine:
Bell Engineering T3 manifold (Black ceramic coated)
Bell Engineering polished turbo heat shield
SR20DET T25 turbo Turbocharger .80 A/R compressor housing, .64 A/R turbine housing, .60 turbine trim (Black ceramic coated turbine housing)
Trackspeed Engineering Inconel turbo studs
SS oil feed line
Bell Engineering stainless 2.5” downpipe
Custom mandrel bent catless 2.5” exhaust
Magnaflow muffler
K&N filter
Bosch BOV
CXRacing intercooler. 28x5.5x2.5 w/ silicone couplers, T-bolt clamps
Flyin’ Miata Stage 1 clutch
RX7 460cc injectors
Toyota Coil On Plug (COP) conversion
Innovate LC1 Wideband O2
Megasquirt 2 full standalone EMS (built by Braineack)
Coolant reroute
MBC @ 10psi
Mazdaspeed engine mounts
Heat shielded brake reservoir & lines near turbo
GTX PCV valve
Suspension/Brakes:
FCM upper shock mounts and bump stops
FM frame rail braces
OEM R package Bilstein shocks
Ground control 450/300 coilovers
Racing beat solid front sway bar
Racing beat end links
Removed rear sway (will go with sale)
Stock wheels with Falken Azenis RT615 tires, road force balanced
Hawk HP+ brakes front and rear
Motul RBF600 brake and clutch fluid
Corner weighted before turbo parts added (2259 lbs with 2/3 tank of gas)
Interior:
Hard Dog hardcore hard top double diagonal roll bar w/high density foam padding and leather cover
Sparco Sprint V racing seats (driver’s bolted to floor, passenger’s on stock slider)
New black leather shift boot
Goodwin full replacement triple pod
Autometer Pro Comp Mech. Boost, Elect. Water temp, Elect. Oil Temp
LC1 wideband o2 gauge in vent
JVC CD player with AUX and USB inputs
Clearwater door speakers
Cruise control added (not available on R package)
Exterior:
Removed antenna and plugged with OEM plug
Removed rear “Miata” badge
OEM front and rear R package lips
Flyin’ Miata frame rail braces
E-code headlights
Removed baby teeth
2 year old Robbins zipperless plastic window top
Recent maintenance:
Stock Escort GT engine with around 50k miles with new gaskets & seals throughout
Timing belt, tensioner, & water pump
Accessory belts
VC gasket
CAS O-ring
Oil change w/Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 & Wix filter
OEM radiator & cap
Radiator hoses
Heater hoses
Redline fluids in trans and rear diff.
Both large and small shift boots replaced
Driver’s rear caliper replaced
Cons:
Small rock chips, dings, scratches, etc but overall paint is in good shape everywhere except the rear lip spoiler that could use buffing (single stage OEM paint can probably be brought back)
A/C doesn’t work (all components there, just needs a recharge I believe)
Airbag light on, needs computer
Tune could be better. Basically just tuned AFR’s, but timing and other MS features could be dialed in better.
Oil temp gauge is wired except the sender. I have a replacement oil drain plug that the sender screws into that I was going to put in during the next oil change. The wire for it is already ran to the engine bay and the light on the gauge is powered.
I don’t need to add up everything to tell you that a lot of money has been put into the car. It runs very well and is decently quick but I’m sure there’s more potential left in it. No corners were cut and nothing but quality parts have been installed. I’m looking for $7000 OBO, no trades. I’ll include the laptop I used for tuning which is an old Dell but the batter lasts awhile and it has registered Tunerstudio software on it.
Contact me at larrymer13 at gmail for quicker question response, and I can send along my phone number if you want to come look at the car.
