Default 1992 Mazda Miata - $5500 OBO

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1992 Mazda Miata for sale, in USA - Kansas.

Mileage: 99000 miles
Engine Size: 1.6

Asking price is $5500 OBO

1992 Red Miata with ~99000 miles. Hard Top with defrost, Original Paint, Older FMII kit with LinkECU and Keypad, IHI Turbo, 323gtx pistons, valve job, 370 injectors, 55mm koyo rad, KYB Shocks, Racing Beat Springs, '94 Differential, Shortshifter, Momo Steering wheel, Momo Shift ***, '94-97 brake upgrade with brand new Hawk HP Plus Pads, New Napa Rotors, SS Brake Lines, 2 1/2 inch exhaust w/o cat with magnaflow muffler, 15 x 8 6UL with virtually new Hankook RS2, TSI, Low Profile Headlights

Paint is in decent condition...there is a key scratch down the passenger door that has been filled...there is a nick in the right front of the hardtop as seen in the picture. Car currently has no tune on it and is in need of a new o2 sensor. Car was at the track twice. During the last track session the DP fractured. The O2 sensor was damaged and the tune was lost on the motor because the link was autotuning off the damaged sensor. Currently the car is not running perfectly. Last dyno sheet was 231 HP with a good tune. Car does need some work so I am negotiable on the asking price...just a starting point really. Interested in hearing offers. Ask if you have further questions. Pictures are pretty much as the car looks...obviously there is now a koyo rad and it has the 6UL's on it. I am starting residency in Florida and only have the money for one car so I need to sell this one. Thank you so much for your time.

And he even bumped dead threads to do it. This newb is riding the fail train in style.

Nah, seeing as he is a mod, he would have removed it for you. The ad is cool, bumping 2 month old threads is not. The post limit is so people who actually are part of the MT.net community can post in classifieds, not to have someone come through and do 5 GLWS posts and random other non value added content.

That's up the mod of the classified's section. You've been formally warned and if it were up to me you could keep it up as long as you don't do any more thread crapping.

edit: I can't delete anything from the classifieds section actually. We're not gods, just moderators.

I appreciate the constructive criticism...my efforts were not to waste anyone's time...just trying to post my ad for the more focused market...didn't think about the logic behind the 10 post rule. Again my apologies

Hey, to answer both of you I had the O2 sensor fail and with the auto tune function on the link the tune was thrown off...it was running super rich and so the computer was reset...so that's why it needs a wideband and a new tune...any other questions? Thank you for yours. The car is in mulvane kansas but it can be moved to the okc area too.

Do you mind providing the VIN?

Any maintenance records?

Has the timing belt been changed? Same for clutch...

Have you thought about taking it to FL with you? I live in Tampa and would love to take a look at it.

What WB do you have? I just replaced my sensor on my PLX300, is a bosch unit, $65 from Autozone.

Im just saying why don't you just buy the replacement O2 sensor, and make the car at least run decent. IMHO it will be more buyer friendly. GLWS

The car will come with me to gainesville if it doesn't sell...I do have records of much of the work on the car. Some I do not since much was provided by the previous owner. I don't know on the timing belt...I personally have not changed it . I acquired the car at 82000 miles and the engine work was done around 62000 miles I believe. As far as getting the wideband and tuning it with a basic road tune I most likely will at some point if it doesn't sell right away...I am no expert at tuning, frankly I'm a dumbass, and those that could do it for me are either not close, not cheap, or both. I am in the middle of moving and buying **** for my house so money for cars is tight. I agree on your thought though.
