Default 1992 Mazda Miata - $1300

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1992 Mazda Miata for sale, in USA - Virginia.

Mileage: 206*** miles
Engine Size: 1.6

Asking price is $1300

1992 Mazda Miata painted Ford Mineral Grey by the previous owner that I bought it from. It is not cosmetically perfect. The paint has small chips in various places on the car, one of the door jams was never painted and is the original Mariner Blue, the engine bay was painted Black but the people painting it didn't prep it properly and its peels all over the place.

It has a dent on the bottom of the car under the passenger side door. This was from taking a turn too tightly and hitting a curb. Also the passenger side fender is dented from another driver merging into me. Other small issues include a single dash crack on the passenger side, the shift boot is torn, the driver's seat has wear on the bolster. These are all issues that are fairly common with a car this old.

The last issue is that the speedo is off because the trans has a 4.3 sensor in it instead of a 4.1. Also, it has no PS or AC. The PS has been fully depowered according the the FM guide.

On the positive side, there is no rust that I have ever detected, and I have gone over the entire car. The bottom end of the engine has been completely rebuilt by myself and has about 1k mi on it now. Everything is new from the head gasket down. The engine mounts are new Megan racing mounts, very similar in feel to MMS mounts. It will include the wheels pictured with the tires (duh..). Tires have good tread and good grip. I believe they are Khumo Ecsta AST tires, but I can't completely remember. There can't be much more than 5-6k mi on them. It has 1.8 brakes front and rear.

My last engine/turbo build and subsequent destruction was the final straw for me with this car. Whenever I see it I want to drive it off a cliff, set it on fire, or do other generally bad things to it. Instead I will post it up here for what I think is a fair price and hopefully someone else will pick it up and it can begin its next journey.

It is running great and has a fresh 3/11 VA inspection. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. That said, it is sold AS IS with no warranty implied.

If you are interested please PM me.

Brian

It was in a garage in Manassas being reassembled after all the aftermarket stuff was taken off.

Car is currently pending sale on Wed. Crossing my fingers.
