Default 1990 miata turbo, $4500

This car has been my daily driver since moving to Las Vegas in 2004. It has a hardtop, and the soft top is in great shape, no rips or tears. Two years ago I installed a Megasquirt, and six months later I installed a turbo system. It is a very dependable combination, and has seen multiple autocrosses and a track day. It made 145 rwhp @ 6 psi, and spins the tires in second @10 psi. Due to the nature of running a standalone ECU, you should be prepared to have access to a laptop for troubleshooting and tuning. It has passed smog twice with the Megasquirt, once with and once without the turbo. The stock ECU is in the car and running idle control and the AC, while the MS controls the fuel, ignition, and boost control. The tune right now is great except for two things. The idle has a bit of oscillation which is most apparent during warm-up and minimal when cold or hot. Second, cold start needs a bit of work. When it is cold the car may need to be re-fired or may need throttle during the first few seconds of running. It gets about 24city/ 30hwy, and uses a bit over ½ quart of 10w30 every 3000 miles.

Car
141,000 miles
cd player w/ new Sony door speakers
aftermarket alarm
power windows
power steering
AC
airbag
tinted windows
cruise control (was working but the turbo melted the cable. Replace the cable, figure out how to keep it cool and it’s good to go)

Parts list:
Megasquirt V3 running Squirt’nSpark Extra HiRes
NGK AFX wideband, 0-5V output to MS for closed loop fuel control
AirResearch .48 T3, no endplay and minimal radial play
Log style manifold, tig welded, ½” flanges milled flat
Downpipe and manifold are ceramic coated
Starion front mount intercooler
DSM metal blow off valve
550 cc injectors
dual feed fuel rail (inlet added at the end of the rail to prevent cyl 4 from leaning out)
3” thick AL radiator (max on-track temp = 186*F!)
Warlbro 190 fuel pump
2.25” downpipe, 2.5” exhaust with high flow Magnaflow cat
1.8L lightened flywheel
MazdaSpeed pressure plate with oem 1.8 disk
AGX struts
Flyin Miata adjustable swaybars
Axxis Ultimate brake pads
HardDog HardCore double diagonal roll bar
MazdaSpeed Motor mounts

Maintenance list:
All brake calipers rebuilt in the last year
New camshaft and front crank seals
New timing belt and idler pullies
New water pump
Rebuilt power steering pump
AC flushed and re-charged with R12 last year
Stock battery replaced with slightly larger lead acid

The paint and body is a little rough, but the car looks good despite it’s age. There are a few dents and dings, and the hardtop has some scratches on it. The radio surround is broken. I have all the stock parts, including injectors, AFM and air intake, swaybars, radiator, motor mounts.

Please PM if you want more pics, and I can email them to you.

$4500

Maybe if nothing happens for a while, but I'm not desperate to get rid of it. Do you think I have overvalued it?
