That is complete BULLSHIT!

Anyone can walk into a Mazda parts department counter and order anything they want.

I just called our local mazda dealer. They said I can order whatever I want.
Not that it matters, i could never afford Mspeed parts from the dealer so second hand is the only way i'd ever have anything like that in my car. For the money there are far more badass things. The fanboys at .net might appreciate it though.

I've dealt with so many different type customers in the Automotive business thru the last 18 years of my life from dealerships, independent shops to professional race teams and I must admit you guys at miataturbo.net are sure a tough group. I truely thought since most members are more into horsepower than other forums people would be very interested in this car for it's parts. Alot of the parts on the mazdaspeeds are beefed up such as the axles & trans and mazda also did a good job on the engine as most of you guys know. I was told that people can not order replacement parts for mazdaspeeds thru the dealers unless if you have proof you are the original owner. Of course anyone can order mazdaspeed parts but replacement parts are not just mazdaspeed parts. Truely sorry if I have pissed anyone off on this forum by placing a classified ad. The car is not longer for sale & is being parted out. Cheers!

Didn't **** me off. Don't think you pissed anybody off. AAMOF all this "it's not worth it" banter kept the post up top - lots of views. I think the consensus was that the car was just too far gone to make it worth repairing when you can buy and turbo a car for the price of the wreck. But there is always interest in parts.

Your fine man... you should see how bad we've torn up some other vendors that have tried to advertise here. We aren't upset with you in the least... we just love giving people hell. Besides, most of us have half your asking price into our fully functional, not wrecked, daily drivers. We generally aren't the high dollar kind of customers that would be looking to spend $5K all at once. I, personally, have been collecting used parts at killer deals for years to boost my car. Total so far is about $1400, including engine management.

Take us with a grain of salt for sure.

I think that most of us here are more "flea market" than "big purchase" and you'll get a huge response to individual parts on that car.

Anyway, we do appreciate the spirit of parts group--selling off used miata parts--and hope WE didn't **** YOU off!

Matt

I've purchased many a part from Tom before I had my own Miata partsyard in my attic. He's always been great to deal with.

That being said I was expecting a much lower price on that rolled msm. figure on a good day you can get $3k for the motor/turbo. another $1k for the trans. $1k for the diff. $400 for the suspension. I wouldn't give ya $10 for those heavy *** wheels. No interior, no brakes, and the body isn't worth ****. I'm not seeing how $6200 gets a quick sale.

I bought a salvaged Miata for $200. It was in better condition than yours is.
