Guess I better start documenting my build. Over the past week, I missed out on a used speedtrack kit and had the chance to get an unused mk kit for 2400 or so (minus ecu). Figured I just better DIY it and learn in the process. I'm wanting to start out at 250hp for reliability, but eventually build out the engine and shoot for more HP.
I currently don't own the vehicle I'd want to turbo, I have a 91 BRG, but I'm wanting to get a 95M or a NB of some sort. This kit will be slowly assembled until I pick up the vehicle. Goal is to keep AC and PS, so I'll be buying manifold to fit that. Might end up going custom on the downpipe unless I figure out the vehicle I want so I can get in on that Kraken group buy.
As of right now, I'm leaning towards the 6258 turbo, but might opt into the twin scroll. Will most likely be going with the kraken manifold. As for the rest, it's undecided. I'm open to suggestions. Do I buy once, cry once and get much larger injectors in the beginning to cushion the upgrade room, or stick for 650cc or so?
