This is what I ended up with for the oil drain. The hose is slightly kinked. I'm also using a barbed fitting with AN hose. Is either of these going to be a problem?
Oil feed came out better than expected.
Banjo was a huge help on the feed line, drain is now almost straight down.
Kept the behind the headlight hot side routing. Bundle of snakes for coolant lines and unused electrical connections. A bitching new air filter. Amsoil EaAU3560 FTW.
Added a big *** hole on the passenger side, now they both match!
And the best ******* part? It still runs! Started it up and let it idle for a couple minutes, aside from an O2 bung sized exhaust leak it sounded pretty ******* awesome, if not a little tame. I am stoked! Next up is a fresh batch of Rotella, install the O2 sensor, and go for a drive. **** YES.
Stupid question time. MSM came with 2 AIT sensors, one before throttle body and another in the filter. Megasquirt only cares about the throttle body one, right? I can remove the air filter one, right?

It's alive! Took it out for a first drive today and quickly came back in for a boost controller. Waste gate only maxed out at a rather boring 3psi.
Exhaust sounds fantastic. My early comment about it being tame is only true at idle, it sounds bad *** as the revs climb. Sounds like racecar. 3" turbo-back, no cat, and a big *** MagnaFlow muffler. Even after clearancing on the stock "butterfly" brace it's still hitting there and at the rear brace.
It feels much faster, even with less boost, compared to the stock turbo. Could be the cold (35f) weather, or being used to my slow *** truck.
Goes in for our biennial safety inspection tomorrow and then the paperwork gets sent off for an emissions waver.

As it should
Nice job on the porting, no creep at all. I'm glad you posted it up when you did, I was only a day away from ordering a new one and was happy to save a few $$$. Thanks!
Couldn't resit taking it for a quick drive this afternoon. Compared to the wimpy little IHI, this ting is a monster. Spools better and doesn't have the awful boost taper. This thing is gonna be fun

Hey good catch. It took 0.53 seconds to go from 0 TPS to full boost in a 4-5 gear change.
0.63 seconds of missing log data. Ever since upgrading my MS2 it has been plagued with issues that Reverant has yet to fix. The most minor of the issues is occasional periods of missing log data. Should have taken the money spent on that and put it towards a PNP Pro from DIY.

Had some nice weather this weekend and this happened.
Discovered my new Singular Motorsports ECU bracket will not work, the upper mounting tab is too short and holes are in the wrong spot.

As it turns out, I am in idiot. Once the door lock relay bracket was removed Singular's ECU mount slid right in no problem. For some reason I was thinking that bracket was welded in place and part of the whole ECU mount infrastructure.
Exhaust clearance was mostly taken care of by some longer hangers that ended up being a little too long so hose clamps were added to shorten them up a bit. I can't imagine zip ties holding up under there.

Use a hose clamp to snug them up, then use zip ties to tie the clamp to the rubber hanger. Unless you have a massive amount of force on the clamp, it can slide off the end.
Looking good! I'm glad you figured out the ECU mount thing, I was getting nervous.

Ah yes, my zip ties are all shitty HF ones. They break if you look at them wrong.
I don't think the hose clamps are going anywhere. Most of the rear mounts ended up smashed all the way together with the hollow section completely eliminated. I don't think Abe accounted for the MSM bumper when he built my exhaust and once I dropped the tailpipe side down that pushed the driver's side into the bracing. Not a big deal to resolve but was slightly annoying.
Yeah I was a complete buffoon with the ECU mount. It's been so long since I pulled the stock ECU that I was thinking the relay bracket was part of the dash mount. It's not and the Singular mount slides right in once removed (if your car even has the same relay bracket). Well worth the $70

I was out enjoying the nice weather and doing some tuning on my new Reverant built MS3 Basic when I picked up a large nail in the driver's rear tire. A lack of anywhere to pull off and my inability to diagnose the interesting handling aspects means the tire is completely shot now. So now I need some new street tires that can double duty as rain track tires.
Trying to decide between these options:
225 RS3 v2 - $545
205 Z2 Star Specs - $511
205 Kumho V720 - $451
205 595 RSR - $357
Primary concern is how well they handle standing water on a track. I liked the RS3s better than my current Rivals (on the track) and know they can handle water without issues. Based on past reading I have faith the Star Specs will handle wet weather just as well, if not better, and are slightly cheaper. The XS is not known for wet weather performance and I don't have a lot of faith the V720 will be much better, nice price though. Construction quality of the 595s concerns me even though reviews are mostly positive in dry and wet conditions. That price though.
Why do there have to be so many options in the super-awesome-street-tire category?

Thanks for the info. Just ordered a set of Star Specs and they should be here Wednesday. Came close to ordering the RE71R, $70 rebate and likely better wet traction made them appealing. 7" tread width vs Star Specs 7.5" however was not. Now I'm really looking forward to having a wet trackday this year! Had no complaints about the RS3 on a wet track and these should be even better.
