Wow, almost a month with no good updates.
Well, this isn't much of a good update. I've been working 12 hour days 6 and sometimes 7 days a week. My new hot tub showed up and i haven't even had time to complete the deck and electrical work to put it in. :(
So i'm still stuck on this fuel rail issue. This is how the o-rings look when just getting them finger tight.
For some reason i don't think a copper crush washer is my answer either. I don't like this. The surfaces aren't machined with this type of seal in mind.
I don't know what i'm going to do. Maybe buy a different fuel rail.
How in the serious **** is this so complicated? You would think when designing a fuel system you would make it as fool proof and easy as possible.

That would be fantastic.
I did look around yesterday at the hardware store and a few autoparts stores and they didn't have anything.
McMaster had bags of 50 but that does me no good.

Vibrant Part #20926

Vibrant Performance ::.

This is what I have. I know Bryan can usually get Vibrant things pretty quickly if you want them before Friday (probably the next day I'd be stateside)

She woke up today!
Finally had 15 minutes to install the washers. Got em good and tight.
Took it around the block and hosed off the quarter inch of dust that had built up on it.
Installed my stubby antenna, this is 5 years overdue. haha
Got my deck finished and tub dropped off today too. Not to mention the bike.
It's been an exciting day.
Here's one of my kitties in a box.

Turned to 18-20lbs the other day...
Wow. She's pretty quick for a little 2560. I'd love to get it on a dyno and challenge the "world record holding 2560 BP".
I'd also like to take it to the track but i know i'm in 5 speed crunching territory now.
In other news. My new motorcycle has just over 500 miles on it. 2 weeks ownership now. This is also where a very large portion of my used to be turbo miata money is going.
And i got the hot tub / deck completed, ready for full usage.

Grrrr Not 3 hours after i posted that ^ i did more final tuning with fuel and it started knocking again. No amount of timing change seemed to help, in fact it got worse.
Maybe it's my CR. Maybe i just need to switch to E85 already.
Time for storage.

Okay, so reviewing logs;
Rich condition(because safety, apparently not so safe) causing an increase in EGTs coupled with shitty 93 octane trash fuel and a ton of positive pressure could be the cause of my detonation.
So, from this point forward. Get rid of the trash garbage fuel and get right into E85 immediately? Or get my tune situated on 93 then do the switch? I think it may be impossible for me to get this car not to detonate on such a small turbo, 2.5" exhaust, 350hp IC, and 93 octane. I'm sure it may be done but i think i have to many variables working against me.

Yeah, i've got half a dozen stations within viewing distance of my house, where i work / the dragway is extremely dry of e85 which is a bummer.
Looks like i'll be adjusting my fuel map and swapping out the last of the 93 fuel in my tank next chance i get. Unfortunately i'm on 7 10s at work, so my time is limited. Thank you Tesla motor company and the American automotive economy.
I hate for this to be the "miracle drug" but it seems i may have no option left at this point. And to think, this "build" started with a 6psi bare bones kit, stock injectors, and no intercooler.
