I couldn't get pennies or washer between the inner and outer races on my detroit axle hubs. You may need to make something to fit in there. I still need to pull mine off and re-pack it... That said, it has held up to a couple autocrosses with RE-71R's and an hour on track with 300tw Yoko S. Drives so far with the grease it came with.
Im certain all of the Chinese hubs will be in the same league. I got 3 track days and about 1k street with this hub, which is a "dura- international".
The pass side is the timken I installed about 15 track days ago and 3 or 4 k street miles. Although i think that one is just starting to loosen up. Ill repack it and keep it as a track spare.
I repacked the hubs with amsoil dominator and installed them. I'll try to repack every few months during track season and see how they last. I also had to replace the battery, which was from October of 2009!
Getting rid of the decomposing, adhesive saturated, large diameter stock wheel.
I had to modify the HF puller
All of the tabs are broken on the hood.
All of them.
My sweetheart got me this.
And I finally installed this. And removed the airbag lamp.
Was a brand new Pontiac g5, I was trying to swap a leather wheel with radio buttons from a corvette or something because they're the same cause GM. Wheel nuts are short, not many extra threads. Lots and lots of rocking and a last ditch effort pull got it, and the clock spring.
lol wut? you take the nut off and work the wheel back and forth a few times and it pops right off.
Um, no. Steering wheels are a taper fit in addition to a spline. Do you just wiggle a drill chuck arbor off? or a ball joint stud? It was on so hard, I thought I was going to break the puller; and when it finally broke, it released so violently, it make a loud crack sound and I **** my pants. If it just wiggled off, I wouldn't have gone through all that trouble. You sirs, have a worn out steering stems/wheel taper, or previous fukery.
