Rebuilt Motor Questions
I am rebuilding my 95s motor, this is my first rebuild and I have a couple of questions.
What is the torque spec when tightening down the transmission bolts to the block? Also what is the torque for the PPF bolts. I know they were hard as hell to loosen up so I'm assuming it's high.
What is the startup procedure for when I first start it up (Rev up and down or just let idle or something different)? I know you have to change your fluids but how long after startup should I do that?
And finally, is it ok to startup the motor in cold weather? Will it hurt anything if I try to start it for the first time in 30-40 degree weather. Or should I try and wait for a warm day. It's starting to get cold in Georgia but should be near the 60s next week.
Any information is much appreciated.

Before you fire it up take the spark plugs out and disconnect the fuel injection harness. This way you can freely spin the motor to build oil pressure without injecting fuel into the engine. once you have oil pressure you can connect everything back and begin cranking for break-in. Once it fires you want to check quickly for leaks, verify the ignition timing, and top off the coolant as the bubbles come out. You want to do this quickly because you don't want to idle the car very long. Once you are confident you have no leaks and the majority of the air is out of the cooling system quickly get it out onto the road and begin accelerating and decelerating the car being sure to engine brake on decel. Vary your RPMs and keep an eye on the gauges. Feel free to read more online about the procedures but that's most of it.
