Lol... Wife is on board with plan A pending good result from insurance.
Cautiously optimistic. Want tomorrow to come now. Want this resolved, want to buy another Miata and start the building.
Starting to get excited again.

haha... I do like Lava Orange, but if I go MSM I'll be going Ti Gray again most likely. I just love that (non) color on the MSM.
I'm going to be pretty open though. I figure insurance will be cheaper on a non-MSM. However, if I buy an MSM then I'll have turbo bits to sell when I install my stuff. But I'd be paying more for it up front....
It's really just going to depend on what I find. I'll be looking for a clean NB. My #1 choice if not MSM would be a sport so I can get the tupperware and have an extra 6-speed and try out the 3.9 torsen. An SE would be second choice for obvious reasons. But even a base would be fine because I already have my good hardware.

Well, that would totally work Vlad. Yup I'll just keep an eye out.
Just found out ten minutes ago that my job is going to give me a demo vehicle to drive, and I'm getting a significant raise/pay plan improvement, so I will make sure to hold out for the best I can find

Lol... I might be able to get an NC miata at some point in the future, but for now they're putting me in a little 2013 Mazda 3 sedan. it'll get great mileage and they're not paying for gas, so it works for me.
The big bonus of it is that I can now sell my old Maxima. That'll put some cash in my pocket for if I have to come up with some funds to buy back the Miata.

Insurance update. Not great news.
They want to give me $10,300 ish for the car. That's account for the hardtop (which is like a $250 add according to them... lame). They won't account for any of the other mods. They said I should have insured the mods with them.
I owe $12k, so that puts me $1700 in arrears. I also have to pay the $500 deductible. They estimate it'll be about 20% buyback, so another $2k to buy it back.... I'm going to have to come up with a chunk of change here.
Please feel free, anyone, to pitch in with more ideas about how to argue with them. I tried discussing with the adjuster, who simply pulled up a car for sale in Eugene ('04 MSM with 56k miles listed for $9900) saying mine is worth about the same as that one. Ugh.
Anyone want to buy a '99 Nissan Maxima?
