I think EBC tuning is going pretty well. Following was at a target of 10 PSI, but it seems like things went up to about 11 PSI (IT GOES TO 11!) before petering out back to 10. I'll attach logs here as well in case anyone has any input (plz?).
I have target boost tapering down at 7k, though I'm not sure how necessary this is. Car honestly drives super well. Kinda tempted to set target up for 12 and see how that goes.
VD car weight is set to 2400 right now with my weight at 175. I think 2400 might be a bit low for an NB1 with a roll bar, 40-50lb tool kit, and spare tire in the trunk.
I guess this is how the sickness starts.... Car feels 'normal'. I feel like it felt faster on wastegate which was ~170-180 HP. I'm guessing it's a function of how boost is ramping up.
Thanks for helping me set up the EBC and getting the vac 'circuits' sorted out!
Of note: This is still running the spark map on brain's basemap. I haven't messed with it at all for obvious reasons.
There's no need to ramp down boost at the top end. People will sometimes ramp down boost in the lower end where it is tougher on rods if they are concerned about them but at the very high end it's not so much a problem. At your boost levels it should not be a problem with your conservative base map.

I taper mine down for (2) reasons on my '99:
Fear of breaking oil pump
Running out of injector.
My target boost drops between 6500 and 7200 from 195 to 175kPa

Understood. So should I set the target to ramp up from 3->7 k? Thinking something like wastegate at 2-3k, followed by 10 psi at 3-6k, and finally 12psi for the last bit? I guess this can all be done later.

Yeah, it's spooling pretty slowly huh? I realized looking at the log last night that it took like 1500 rpm to get from when I put my foot down till where it hit the boost target of 10psi. Time to tune PID, huh?

Do you think I'm being overly conservative?
Not going to lie... I used the map you sent me as a guideline which is why it's set up that way. I changed the values but followed the trends.
Yes, I tend to add up high as well. No one likes their car being mushy from 6k-7k. Are you still doing a soft cut before redline and retarding timing? Also, yes, you need to work on your spool. Right now, it looks like Techsalvager tuned it.
