Right now, I have a little breather filter. Thirdgen didn't have this issue at all. If i have the car set up like it was stock, i.e. having the port reconnected to the intake piping, it would create enough vaccuum to stop blowby?
I'm also post-call, so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm making zero sense...

I'm going to celebrate July 4th by splicing in the EBC with a goal of staying at my current 7ish psi and using the EBC to just get the boost to come on a bit faster. Might bump things up to ~10psi if all goes well. That should get me to about 200-210 rwhp since it would add 2-3 psi. I have a 2.5 exhaust, an fm mani, and a cat so I don't think I'll be shattering the power limits of the stock block anytime soon with things set up like that.
Any advice for the setup?
I really do want to splice in a 2-3 way selector to be able to switch between a low boost setting on wastegate pressure and a high boost setting.
Bytevenom swung by today and we took the car out for a bit. It's so much freaking fun to drive. I think it's pretty much perfect as a DD with the current EWG spring. I just want to set it up for something a bit higher for shenanigans once in a while and keep things on the lower setting for day to day things.
After selling everything I was holding on to for a bit, I think I might finally try to grab an NB2 front bumper and headlights in a bit depending on what pops up.
On an unrelated note, is there any way to make the gas pedal more firm? Mine just feels like it lacks feedback and is way too touchy. I wish it had a little bit more resistance...

So I was reading the instructions for the EBC install and I have two questions.
1) Following the instructions on brain's pdf for his MS3X, does the MS slash TS already know which inputs are being used via the sensor that is spliced into? Or do I have to select the right ones? Here's a link to the pdf on his sale thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...structions.pdf
2) My turbo has been modified by the PO and doesn't have a vacuum source. The instructions state that something post TB shouldn't be used since it can damage the EBC. Is there truth to this? Right now I have everything running off the intake manifold. Not sure how else to do it. I don't really want to have to drill into my intake piping post IC if there's a better alternative.
I'm really looking forward to getting this working.

1. You don't splice into a sensor. You use one of the PWM-capable outputs of MS3(X) and connect the EBC to that. Most people use the "boost" output on the MS3X, There may be some restrictions with possible PWM frequencies though, so you may have to use another output like VVT.
The other connection on the EBC goes to +12V.
2. Turbos don't have a vacuum source and you don't need one. You need a source of boost. I'm not sure how you routed it, but whatever feeds your WG should now be routed to your EBC valve and from there to the WG. If you are feeding your WG from the intake, stop that right away and use a proper source of post-turbo boost. Most turbos have a hose-barb somewhere on the compressor outlet for that purpose.

Anyway....
Bytevenom came by and we put the spacers on my front shocks, so now both F/R suspension is set up correctly.
I got the tubing for the EBC set up and will try to make something of it in the morning. Some more reading to do on that! I need to order a few things tomorrow in order to get boost readouts from right after the turbo, and I'll likely order some more IC piping/couplers then to clean things up a little bit. Not sure I'm going to bother with this quite yet because everything works, but it could look a bunch cleaner which would be pretty nice tbh.
Any words of advice for not blowing things up when setting up EBC? I'm going to refer to a few good posts I think Aidan penned when he was dialing things in.

Set "Maximum Boost (kPa)" conservatively as you progress so you don't destroy things. Tune boost and VE, then up things a little more. Then go closed loop (again, be mindful of Maximum Boost) and work with the PID to get the overshoot under control as needed.
IOW, Take your time, don't rush.
Here are my settings in 1.4.1, with micro-turbo, to give some semblance of reference:

@DNMakinson
I've been reading a thread that you started when you were first getting into tuning ebc. It's been quite helpful. This thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...1-4-1-a-92161/
Thanks for your tune. I'm going to look through it as a referuence. I'm also carrying a tee fitting for the vacc lines in the car for now so if things start getting weird when I'm driving around, I'll just bypass the EBC entirely. Or just it off via TS. Thanks for your help! I think tuning ebc has been one of the more intimidating parts of this process thus far.
Here are a few others I've been looking through so far.

I'm kinda confused as to why my EBC isn't working. I have it wired in ala brain's instructions. I see continuity in my connections, but no voltage. Voltage tested with car in on position and setup mode for ebc with 99-100 valve open settings. Is there a test mode I'm missing?
Input plz? Do i need to tell MS where the signal is coming from? I thought brain wired these so it knew already.

Once you turn the ignition switch to "on", you should measure 12V everywhere on the circuit. Meter should be set to DC volts, and you measure from any point on the circuit to sensor ground (intake manifold). Then when the MS commands duty cycle, you should see the voltage drop on the MS side of the solenoid.

Brains instructions show the wiring of the EBC into the MAF sensor plug. I believe one of the wires has a 12V there in order to power the MAF.
I didn't see any voltage there with the key in the 'on' position, but did see continuity. This made me wonder if the MS3X was somehow either not directed to power this circuit, which is why I'm wondering if I have a TS setting off somewhere.
