Dude, this thing is INSANE!
Well done, interested to see if you can break into 5's in the 1/8. 6's is already mental to me. I hate to keep bringing up the 1/4, but hilarious that you can coast the 1/4 doing mid 10's at ~80mph.

I wish my audio recorded better. The draggy app kept cutting out for some reason. But yes, at 30psi, the motor sounds like a drag car. It sounded better in the car than the video shows. It actually sounds pissed off! I think 30 psi and 27 degrees ignition might be a factor.

Got spherical bearings installed! Took me about 15 hours to do the rears. I added extra set-screws on the lower control arms, and notched them extra well to help it hold together under hard launches. Got it aligned and hopefully I'll see improvements from it on how it drives and 60 foots.
Also got a few small things done here and there. I did soften the tune a touch. After really looking at the plugs, I'm thinking I might be playing with fire on the tuning side, so I pulled a degree of timing and added a bit of fuel. Plan is to make another pass the way it is, then new plugs and another pass, and then evaluate the plugs. I suspect these plugs are too hot for this combination.
Also tire pressure on next pass will be 14 psi, and rear shocks are now full stiff and fronts full soft. So see how that combo works for 60' with the new spherical bearings.
If weather holds, I'll be at the track Friday night!

Anddddd the bad news.
Unfortunately, put it into the wall. Not 100% sure what happened, but I think I ran over some water on the track, and then ran out of talent trying to save it.
Good news is I'm ok. Still a bit sore, but it's getting better every day. Could have been a lot worse.
Regarding the car, I'm 80% confident I can fix it. Likely going to backhalf it and install a solid axle and 4 link.

Thanks. Yeah, it could have gone 5's the way it was with a slightly better 60' and shifting higher/not losing it on the big end. Good news is I think I can save it. And better than that, I'm fine. I've heard of much worse outcomes from wrecks in the 1/8th going this fast. So I'm happy. One thing I'm very happy, it didn't roll. Throughout the build I tried as much as possible to keep weight low in the car. I think that helped in keeping the wheels on the ground. If the car rolled, it would certainly be done and I'd probably be in much worse shape.

Glad you are fine. It;s been a long time since I've perused your thread. Car was looking fine, and I'm glad to see you on wrinkle walls.
Are you still running radial tires on the front?

Yeah, they are some 245 street tires up front, Hoosier drag radials in the rear. My next setup, I may do skinny's on the front. They are crazy expensive though, and I'll have to change wheels. But I'm about to change wheels anyways I suspect.

Welp even Capt Kirk busted up the Enterprise once or twice battling those pesky klingons on his way to strange new worlds LOL...... but the Enterprise would go to space dock and get repaired with extra warp capabilities.....
If Pat does what I think he might when he rebuilds he may have to to rename his tbrake button the Romulan cloak button... That thing might 60' so fast it may seem to disappear!!
Seriously though Pat, really glad you're ok.. I cant believe how calm you sounded in the video literally seconds after hitting the wall.

Glad you aren't too hurt! Hopefully you be 100% again in a few days. It was really hard to watch, with the camera slipped and the tires screeching. Then the footage of you whipping across, freaking scary.
