Not that I know of. I just read the beta changelogs. There might be a 1.4 changelog. |
I've never done this before. Do you just... install it? /boggle. I will do it, just as soon as I get back from defcon. So like after the 11th.

You flash it. There are instructions when you download the firmware. Command line and stuff. |

FWIW; I got a gauge pod from Summit to mount gauges (old pic from when the dash was out)
It looks like it would be in the way from the pic, but when it's installed it's just enough in the line of sight to be useful but not intrusive. YMMV

I did this probably twice, maybe 5 years ago with my DIYPNP while chasing my tail for months due to an internal hardware failure. I remember there were jumpers and command line shenanigans. I will figure it out, but it'll probably push me out of my comfort zone. This is probably not a bad thing. |
I'll push your comfort zone.
No jumpers or shit needed on MS3 (unless Revs unit is weird)
I've been flashing all the 1.4 betas. Takes like 5 minutes. |
Fuckin' Miatas. I don't want to lose any of my vents for gauges, but it sounds like i can't get 3x Accutechs and a wideband in view without doing that or throwing some stuff on top of the dash, which i hate doing.

Why the FUCK does no one make a 52mm gauge thats worth 2 shits? :vash: |
Like i told you in PM, makes me consider just keeping the Racepak that clearly nobody wants and stick it in my car. I don't really want a Racepak in this car, butt fuck it?
|
That statement makes me want to BUY a racepack, but that's sooooo overkill for a dual use car. :giggle:
|
Not much more expensive than good gauges and looks baller as fuck. And it's light! Racecar! Do it! Buy mine!
|
IQ3?
You know I'm fucking crazy, right? |
Yes, IQ3. Was used for about... 10 minutes in the ill-fated Escort.
If you don't buy it, i'm going to sell my Megasquirt and use it with a Haltech again and suffer the wrath of MiataTurbo. |

Gesso needs an IQ3 for his Exocet. True story. |
Sending you a PM. I can save you some money.
|
Replacement VEI senders just hit my desk. I'm now $444 into the VEIs, $614 if you include the MTX-L I bought when I got frustrated with the VEI wideband display.
^^ This is why you never look at the receipts. |
Sell that trash. I just sent you three links.
|
Sounds like you need to update your build thread
|
At $700, buy the IQ3, real dash integration >> gauges. I love my Mychron (except it's aversion to speed and tach on the display at the same time).
And yes, Geoff needs a dash. I had no idea how fast I was going. Combine that with the fact that the car isn't exactly subtle, and my license was worried. |

"Hey Chris? Yeah. I'll take another hit." |
I still have not driven that thing, and for good reason.
If for whatever reason the sky opened and $7500 dropped in my lap I'd buy an Exocet, turn the NB into a shell, SB100 the shit out of it and advance to my glorious turbo powered street legal emissions free future. |
Actually, hold on a sec, I'm having terrible ideas again.
Jesus christ, that's just under $7000 and I haven't even parted out the tub. What's a perfect, non salvage title NB tub sans subframes worth these days? |
