I'm pretty sure you can use any coupler in that location, provided it has some sort of heatshield on it. It's in a super tough location right next to the #1 runner in the manifold. That stuff that Gesso brought is pretty amazing as a heat barrier, keep that on there and you should be good to go. |

Yeah, and its hard to break out of 1:50's when people won't point you by. Just make sure that you, Aidan and Ed register for B next year. The entire OR crew is used to more aggressive trackdays than what Trackmasters usually runs down here.
As far as aggressive track days... I don't know that we're more accustomed to aggressive track days as much as we are just assholes and drive like crazy people. |
My buddy who rode with you said you were really fast and really angry lol
|
By the time he rode with me I was so friggin' frustrated. The red mist had decended, lol. It absolutely sucks to tow 750 miles each way just to sit in traffic on track in C group behind people who don't know the lines and aren't even using full throttle on the straights. It was fucking ridiculous.
B was much better. |
I resorted to honking at people who were slow.
|
Also, i've run with trackmasters at thunderhill. 100% different experience. Its all the newbs at MRLS that make it the way it is.

Exactly. This is an event that attracts the m.net crowd, who wouldn't normally do a track day, along with those of us who love to track and track hard. Combine 1 parts lack of skill, 1 parts of ego-driven optimistic self-evaluation of driving talents, and a technical track like Laguna Seca and you get some fucked up run groups.
I've been every year, and it didn't used to be this bad. The first few years it was "just" a track day that FM/etc happened to be at, but especially since the 25th anniversary event it's turned into something else. --Ian |
Oh god. Imagine them at ORP. Life would be over.
|
I debated clarifying what I meant by technical track. I think people find turn 6, and braking over the crest of the hill into the corkscrew, to be intimidating.
Since this is G's thread I'm going to talk to him. You hook up that 17 port EBC yet? Got the idiot's guide to multi-port EBC integration with MS3 written yet? |
Tuning is no different. Just plumb it in.
Science of Boost, Part 1: Solenoids - Page 5 of 6 - DSPORT Magazine im getting the dual port turbosmart actuator. With 3 and 5 psi springs. Should work anywhere from 3-18ish or 5-30ish |
Mac Boost Solenoid BCS 4 Port 46A AA1 Jdba 1BA for Turbosmart aem Hi Temp | eBay
That one comes with sweet fittings and a dope filter. So I bought it. Getting a credit card was the worst thing I ever did  |
That's the exact solenoid I bought, probably from the same seller. Now that Turbosmart has actually released a dual port for the B1 EFR I need to go buy that too.
...and a seat ...and a harness ...and a helmet ...and load 1.4.x ...and more track time ...and an oil cooler ...and a set of xidas :bang: |
Well technically wouldn't the addition of the2 Port actuator mean you are probably less likely to need all the safety equipment because less boost on track
|
Yes. I need to get my table switching working and come up with a 225hp map. I'm not going to deny that 300+ is a fucking riot, but its beyond my abilities at the moment.
I will not deny that its absolutely unreal to be able to steer the car through a corner with the throttle. Unreal. |
Literally twice my power.

IMO, G.. I only hope to be in your shoes one day and ditch my "Setup" (It's a trap!) Enjoy yourself in your current setup, as I can only dream! :likecat: /drunk |
Dual port actuator with an EWG is awesome for boost control. :)

Now I need to go figure out what length I need. Edit: 120mm appears to be what I need. And oh look, I can buy it on Amazon, and support my kids school, since every Amazon purchase we make gives them a percentage: https://www.amazon.com/Turbosmart-TS...egate+Actuator |
