Dude, sh*t I totally forgot they still haven't messaged me back regarding getting my driveshaft money back and replacing that bonk axle! Yeah, I'll push for that then hahaha.

No, the other plan I'm kicking around is mildly diabolical too, but I think you all will approve.

Free isn't going to pay for the pain of dealing with KPI parts pushed out the door with quality issues.

Jesus. That sucks man, though I'd probably throw a head on it and send it!

Nate, I was thinking that for a bit! Seemed like a waste to dump this head (at least temporarily) after tossing inconel valves in it, but it'd get the ball rolling quicker!

Unfortunately, although mama didn't raise no quitter, I think I'm throwing in the towel for now with this project. At this rate, it's going to be forever until this thing runs a track lap again, and it's already been four months since I last tracked it. Gotta get the motor dialed in again and then still keep working on that driveline vibration before I can think about entering the car in another time attack event.

This is probably the end of this thread. I think I'm going to take up boating...

Damn man, bummer to hear that, but I also can't say that I blame you. I think the majority of people would have struggled to stay interested in a project that has this many unforced errors. I certainly would have been out of my depths a while back.

A 2.5 swapped NC seems to be a pretty good package, although a downgrade in power from the current setup. Still some potential there though. I assume you already have a rough idea of what you want to build?

I was really sad until I read this. Hint at a NC project?

I think a NC2/3 (forged rotating assy) + rotrex would be comfy power wise, and the NC chassis way outclasses the NA/NB. Interested to see what you do.

I'd skip the 2.5, unless you go fully built/forged and balance the rotating assy. Seems like those things buzz and fly apart, the 2.5's just aren't built for sustained high RPM track abuse.

NC with cams in the 2.0 is more reliable than the 2.5.

That’s starting to sound like the consensus. With the forged NC2/2.5 motors being good for ~350whp unopened, I’m having a harder time seeing why I shouldn’t just grab one of those and boost it
