I was just in Pembroke Pines over this past weekend. I could have totally brought down a turbo setup for you. Because boost is what you are doing with the car.

Been slowly working on this pile but nothing of great interest to share in pics yet. I do have a question though; with a coolant reroute and heater core delete (which that part i already did), is there any harm in removing this line all together? Im understand the car may take longer to warm up but i live in the buthole of the states; south Florida where its stupid hot. The cars never being tracked and the odds are that this one will never see a turbo on it. I mainly just want to clean up potential fail points like this stupid hose that ive already replaced twice.
You need the flow to keep water moving through the block for even temperatures and proper thermostat function. And it prevents pump cavitation.
I welded the inlet shut and added a threaded fitting to help avoid the manifold and turbo. My heater hose goes beneath the master cylinder and along the top of the frame rail but you probably don't need to go to that trouble if naturally aspirated. Just replace the hose and shield it from the damaging heat and it should be fine.

Well that sucks lol. Thanks for the input dude. Btw, do you still have that lake house for rent?
Hello ladies. I was thinking of you all and decided to say hi. Blows my mind how much the worlds changed since I was here last and especially how we all used to be able to talk with impuinity lmao

You still have a miata?
Glad to see both of you are still here. No im about almost 3 years removed from my last Miata. I ended up in a rolling hemmeroid and I absolutely love it; a 500 Abarth. Currently just re did my tune after upping the boost to 24psi. It's got pretty much every bolt on but a larger turbo, injectors are in the cards. You still have your Miata?

Yeah! It's mostly resigned to track car duties (and weekend puts, occasionally to work), if you dig up my thread you can see some of the more recent updates. Semi-built bottom end, e85, 300+ WHP. I got the track bug about 3 years ago and have been doing that as much as possible. Turns out tracking a turbo miata reveals a lot of short comings and there's a lot of work to keep it reliable in that environment, even running it on wastegate pressure (~240whp) Who knew?! Working on getting it painted this season.. hopefully.
I'd rock a 500, right down my alley. I have a 323GTX that I'm DDing now.
