@flier129 did you know this is your old turbo kit? I was just digging back through emails and found our original conversation. Small world.

You already had a built engine. At that point what's the advantage of a K swap?

What the other guys said. Plus it fits my class and goals for the car better. Buy my stuff and go big power instead of me.

Got my engine ready to ship today. It's the end of an era for this car. Kinda sad, but K will be better. Which is funny, because when I started this thread, I was dedicated to the turbo life.

Got to work on it a little tonight. These are no longer needed:

Added a tow hook to the front bumper beam. Tested it with my beat up bumper just to see what it would look like.

Took the seats out and started some clean up on the wiring harness. Is it bad that I'm doing all this, but I don't feel like pulling the roll bar to remove the stock seat belts?

Make sure you slot your tow strap hole a little more. Recovery drivers aren't always the nicest and may not pull you out straight. A side pull will tear the bumper pretty quickly

Good point, thanks. I need to make it a little thicker too. The strap doesn't fit through very well right now. Wanted something quick and dirty to make sure the bracket worked.

I just realized where you are... I was living in Paducah but I just moved.

Can't wait to see your car "finished"

Found a sale and got the first piece to my DIY cool shirt system. Haven't done much else lately on it.

Hehe... You should come down south where it actually gets hot and humid.

Interested to see your cool shirt setup nonetheless.

Ope here's another K build for me to follow.

Are you going A2, Z3 or a hybrid setup?
