Did some bumper surgery to make it more presentable.
Taillight took a little more work, but this tape job turned out surprisingly well. This looks way better than I expected.
Also did some a cut around the tailpipe so I stop melting the bumper.
Lastly, I unfortunately had an oil leak after the rush install. Luckily it ended up just being the worn out oil plug gaskets and a loose oil temp sensor. This had seen better days:
Been sitting outside for a few days and so far no leaks. Fingers crossed it doesn't stain my new driveway.
Got the trailer all loaded up with the tire rack full. This is such a better setup now. Also replaced my toolbox with a non-leaking one and swapped all the locks to being keyed with the truck.
Ready to hook up after work and drag north to Indy. Spending the weekend at Putnam with Winning Formula.
Little late on the update, but went to Putnam Park a few weeks ago for a season ender fun event. Last time I was there was street tires and no aero, so Saturday was a big learning experience on what I could do there.
Lap timer wasn't working so had no idea on lap times. Car ran great except for this random complete shut off during the last session. Acted like I hit the kill switch, but turned on right after I stopped.
Sunday it rained all day. So I got to get some time on the ECS's. I'm glad it did, got some of my confidence back in the rain after Mid Ohio. The most fun I had was this session chasing some GLTC guys. Shut off issue never cropped up.
How old is your kill switch? They are wear items rated for "x" cycles. On our Champ Car we've had one start to wear out on use that cause random electrical issues.

It is new with the k swap. Solid state ECUMaster cutoff switch. I'd be shocked if it's at its cycle limit already.

I'd be checking the wiring for that switch, it seems like a kill switch intervention based on the dash and keypad immediately going off. I'm guessing the kill switch doesn't write to your logger? You just reminded me why it's important for me to wire my MSEL kill switch to CAN. There isn't a crazy amount of vibration right before it cuts off, but there is some - I don't know if your switch has a short interval between sending an ECU shutdown message and the disconnect, but let that affect when in the video you're looking for clues.
That doesn't inspire confidence, but I'm thinking of your switches.
On my MSEL, there are two circuits - one that shuts off when it is NOT connected to ground and one that shuts off when it IS connected to ground.
As with all electrical trouble shooting, start with the grounds. Where are your switches grounded and does jiggling either the switch or the ground cause a shut-off?
Just getting caught up on this thread. I saw the flurry of parts at Mid O, but was having my own mechanicals all day. Holy Moly brother, I had no idea a full engine swap went down a couple garages over!
Between you, marcus, and emile, I am second guessing the reliability gains of going K24z3... sheesh.

Didn't you just blow up a BP? I think racing is hard either way. The Mid-O failure is 100% my fault though. No matter how much I tell myself I tightened the valve lash lock nuts, I clearly missed one.
Even with my trans issues and a blown motor, it is amazingly still more reliable than my turbo BP. I was lucky to get a weekend without needing a major overhaul.

You're not wrong, but moving to a Honda is supposed to alleviate me of these issues. LOL
