No update on the car. But I've been selling all the random stock parts and using that to remodel the garage. First step was finally buying a top box for my tool box.

The labels on your tool drawers are triggering me. Could you please left-justify and level them?

Well since I need space for the car, guess I need to finish the garage.
Not quite done, but ready for the car. Got some Gearwall coming to make some hanging storage where that piece of plywall is. Eventually, I'll need to tackle the mess of kid's stuff in the front corner.
I'm doing the same. My car is off getting a cage and its the first time in over a decade there isn't a Miata in my garage. Been straightening everything and realizing I have way to many "I might need these parts". At least my hardware bins are now organized.
Can't wait to see your Miata on those chrome rims.
Well, looks like we're going to miss our chance to see it. Finally got a tentative sale on those.

Definitely recommend getting rid of the extra parts. I had 3 bins of parts for a BP. I actually just loaded up the stuff I didn't sell to drop off at Midwest Miata Parts on the way to Akron.
I get the reasoning but I've never seen a single one configured in that way.
For the mirror there might be enough room for the normal Longacre mounts everyone uses if you make notches in the seal? If not then maybe weld on some mounting tabs.

So the Simpson instructions suck. I was using the Scroth ones which essentially just references the FIA documents. Looks like inside or outside is fine, but inside the head restraint is preferred. This was literally the only thing I was going off of, so hopefully it's not wrong..
Thats a screenshot from the FIA and/or Scroth guidance. Can't remember which one I pulled it from.
Well ****. I guess I stand corrected then... have a cat. I've still never seen a right side net set up that way in the wild though, maybe it's new-ish guidance from FIA?

Could be. Maybe like how left side nets are a thing now too. I've never really looked hard at any I've seen at the track, so didn't have any preconceived ideas before I started with it.
