In Which I Build A Street Car

Got this thing painted. Felt the blue was too "look at me" and went with PSL silver.

What's up with the rear bumper behind the wheel if you just got it painted?

Good catch. I'll have to bring it to their attention, that wasn't there before. Might be from having the mudflaps removed?

But honestly they are both great cars. 2 seater ,rwd, vert. Check. F20C might be one of the best 4 cylinder engines ever made also.

Last time attack I came around the last corner (by the paddock), it's a long straight over a crest into a corner, and I have a bad habit of upsetting the car into that corner. I threw it into a nice 3rd gear slide all the way through, when I got back after my hot laps one dude with an S2k commented about how shitted I must have felt, and I wasn't even sure what he was talking about. He was like, that last corner dude! That was insane! The miata chassis is just so balanced and easy to use, ya know, just steer it with the throttle and it's second nature. Granted, mines far from stock as well.
That said, the s2k is sex and I love it. Sounds like you've gotten yours setup to be a little more friendly. I noticed Quinn, (the slip angle on youtube) has his setup pretty neutral as well, which was one of the first times I've seen one setup to my liking.

Just to make sure i'm reading this right: You're annoyed because i don't think my S2000 with a tendency towards slight understeer is an oversteering deathbox that'll throw my wife in the ditch on her way to her salon?
Sure, i may feel differently on track, too. But this car is unlikely to be used for anything but commuting or errands in my ownership anytime soon. We're really just using it as a DINK Civic. I thought i was going to need a commuter last year when i was job shopping and remembered thinking these cars were ridiculously rad when i last drove one in about 2009 when i couldn't afford one. Now i can afford one and because i'm older, it's a lot less rad than it was back then. But, it gets 33-34mpg highway and i think i can get it quiet enough to be comfortably enough for long trips. Good enough.
That explains it! Totally kidding man. I've seen a few of them at the track, in most cases a basically stock s2k is as capable as my NA (with much higher power/weight and a lot of work done), but watching people control them on the track looks scary.
