Neat! Are those full welds, or just stitching?

Car will be a track/street car. Really just building it for the fun of it. Miata driveline is going back in. I have some used turbo parts sitting around from other projects. They will probably make it on the car. Thanks for the compliments on the welds. Far from a expert though.

Can you snap a few more pics of the diff mounts comming loose? One more good shot from under the car, and one from the top should be fine. I've never had my car broken down that far, but I suspect there may be some fatigue in that area.

Looks like you have made great progress in learning the art of welding. Welding was something I never was great at.

One thing I noticed that will be a problem is the main hoop brace you have welded to the deck behind the seat. That should be raised higher to about shoulder level so as to have a place for your harness. I know most sanctioning bodies require it that way. Adding another one higher is redundant and adds too much weight. Have you consulted a rule book? From a far away land that does not require it that way?

I love the front shock tower support.

Sick cage build. I like how you tied it to the chassis, that shell should be stiff.

Are you going with a custom pedal setup? Like Wilwoods with the reservoirs on top? Because those are sexy. When doing my cage I was going to tie into the front shock towers but didn't want to mess with the pedal situation and I didn't want to loss my blower motor. Looks cool though, I like the x bar at the top, Troy does have a point about the harness bar though.

But I'm sure the main hoop is going to get a diagonal bar and a harness bar... In for more pictures though, that's for sure

Thanks. Custom pedals mounted on the floor. The lower main hoop cross bar is just to stiffen the shell.

Nice work. How is your clearance for headroom when sitting in the seat with a helmet on.?
