Falcon's "I am not satisfied with 191whp" build
Sooo... I need more power. Here's the plan. I've been in touch with a local high performance machine shop over the last few days and we've been disucssing possible options. Seems like I've settled on the following.
Bottom end
79.5 8.5:1 Wiesco pistons
Scat Rods
ARP main studs
ACL bearings
Balanced rotating assembly including clutch and front pully
Grind and micropolished crank
Hot tanked block
Head
Fully built FM 1.6L head
Supertech oversized valves
Supertech springs
5 angle valve job
Full port/polish
etc.
Cometic MLS head gasket
ARP Head studs
This block coupled with an upgraded GReddy turbo (19t compressor wheel) and 20+PSI on water should yield excellent results
I already have a full 2.5'' downpipe to 3'' exhaust
ETD Manifold
RX7 460cc injectors (will need to go with some larger injectors, thinking injector dynamics
Dual fed stock fuel rail (will be upgraded to a high capacity rail)
190HP Walbro pump
MS1 Hi-res
Etc. etc.
My goal is a reliable 300whp. I will NOT fall short! Lol...
All this, while my fully built 13B needs to go into the FD and that needs to get back on the road. But I've got no motivation for that right now. I need more Miata power!

I've been to Alec's Automotive (http://www.alecsautomotive.com/) a couple times to get my flanges flattened on their enormous industrial sander. Not the cleanest shop, not as if that means much. They seem like pretty good guys.
