The ACT HDSS I drove were all a little less pedal feel then my FM2. They hold a ton less torque and are about the same price. So I don't generally go with ACT any more. I recently tried the SuperMiata organic clutch in a friends car and I think it feels amazing. I might be switching to those for all my non-built motor turbo builds.

I've not driven a single fm1 that felt bad. Or worked bad. Or were hard to daily drive. And I tried at least a dozen. What is your sample size for this statement?
Also LOL @ thrust bearing nonsense
@farpolemiddle, I'm under no illusion I'm at the edge of the capacity of the unit. If you are questioning it AT ALL, get the FM2. Srs.
Car is over 300 with at least 1 track day

It sounds like something was wrong with that FM1, because after I adjusted mine its been completely acceptable. I daily it and occasionally beat on it with no stuttering or other badness, and this is with a 9lb aluminum flywheel.
Not spun it to my knowledge, but the tires are the fuse in my traction limited system. I'm afraid to see what would happen if it actually hooked up.![Giggle](https://www.miataturbo.net/images/smilies/gay.gif)

It was like that the moment I left the shop. I was told by my mechanic that I should wait for the surface of the flywheel to heal (It was machined down) but it's been 8 months now. My friend did the install in another shop and went through two flywheels and still no luck.
