I have an HDR4 because i'm not a man and i don't need turbo torque holding capacity.

FM1's are a bitch to daily drive. Once they get hot it stutters. It's even worse in my friend's car.

Never had that happen, but i've owned two with a 14 foot long engagement point that were impossible for me to drive.

@farpolemiddle, I'm under no illusion I'm at the edge of the capacity of the unit. If you are questioning it AT ALL, get the FM2. Srs.

I've not driven a single fm1 that felt bad. Or worked bad. Or were hard to daily drive. And I tried at least a dozen. What is your sample size for this statement?

Also LOL @ thrust bearing nonsense

And yet you still haven't spun it. Or have you?

It sounds like something was wrong with that FM1, because after I adjusted mine its been completely acceptable. I daily it and occasionally beat on it with no stuttering or other badness, and this is with a 9lb aluminum flywheel.

Not spun it to my knowledge, but the tires are the fuse in my traction limited system. I'm afraid to see what would happen if it actually hooked up.

A stock clutch would probably hold on your rs3 rocks.

I deny nothing.

Trackdays are done on NT-01s and those stick, but then I'm not doing clutch dumps at the track.

It was like that the moment I left the shop. I was told by my mechanic that I should wait for the surface of the flywheel to heal (It was machined down) but it's been 8 months now. My friend did the install in another shop and went through two flywheels and still no luck.
Those two shops are the most reputable in the country.
What do you mean by adjusted?

With the way his car pulls, not even once. I'm sure they are not grippy, but his car legitimately puts you back in the seat the way no stock clutch would be able to hold.

Most logical thing you've said this week. I approve of this statement.

So I need to get a drill, tap and fitting for my 10an oil drain. Any recommendation on sizing? Where to buy? And so it won't leak or just make my life easier.
