6800 is a safe limit, I was just expecting it to be higher so I was briefly puzzled.
I would be at an AFR of 11.2 or 11.5 above 180kpa for safety's sake. Fuel quality differences and other tuning irregularities don't leave you much room at those AFRs. It is actually what you are running in your datalog for the pull. The targets he changed didn't actually change the fueling at the time of your dyno pull yet.

LOL, awesome update. Now I feel bad, when my GF (of several years) asks me to drive the car, i still just kind of laugh out loud.
On my defense, she does not know how to drive manual worth a damn, so I should teach her that first on a beater.
Anyways, rad update duder. A rollbar would be a pretty sweet addition, is that in your plans?

Definitely a good update and good to see you enjoying the car.
You were one of the first builds I started following and inspired me to start collecting parts. Funny looking back now, I have come a long way and i'm almost ready to install my set-up. I remember watching that first video you made of being boosted and thinking "Damn can't wait until I can do that" .... The time is almost here hahaha

long over due update!
NCT'd once again. all i needed was a caliper on the back
NCT SPEC!!
Then i noticed an issue with my AFRs. on ful boost they were all over the place and on warmup. well pretty much everywhere,
has a look and saw i was missing some bolts on the turbo
on closer inspection
two sheared studs.
Then Nicolas came to the rescue with a spare flange
the bolts here are M10 for extra stregth. just had to redrill the turbo and fit a new gasket.
Job done
after i remapped it again its running sweet. i also fitted an EBC and just making adjustment so so i can run MOAR BARS.
nothing else to report!
Actually no...
I have joined the chinacharger elite with this bad boy
T25 T28 GT25 GT28 GT2871 GT2860 sr20 CA18DET Upgrade Turbo Charger Turbolader | eBay
the seals in my T25 are almost finished and this is cheap. i have a friend with a turbo balancing machine so ill put it on that and make sure its all in spec. hopefully itll be ok and i can run MOAR BARS

update time
I got my china turbo
t25 vs chinese
First job was to fix this
Done
Next job was to bolt it on
I've heard horror stories about chineese turbos having a slightly different stud pattern to the t25 dp flange. but this one was perfect. actually every fitting so far has been perfect.
One issue i had was that the oil feed was m12 x 1.25 which is slighty bigger than normal garrett stuff. so i had to go away and have this made
I know they're **** pics but this is my daily so i was in a rush. eventually i had to go to bed so the car is still in the shed till tomorrow or next day.
I promise once its fitted ill tidy my bay up nice and pretty, put a cat in there and take awesome massive photos for you all the see.
Once it's all fitted and i've done some runs i'll update further.

That wg port job is sloppy. But will probably work.
That engine bay made me want to vomit. Disgusting.
But
MOAR BOOST is always a good thing
Glad the flange lined up for you. That's good. Is that an sr t25 its replacing? Your torque curve is going to invert itself if so lol

Wastegate port isn't perfect i agree, but it seals and it's a hell of alot better than it was!
its an sr t25 ya, think this new turbo is too big? as soon as i do a bit of tuning i'll put it on my mates dyno and see what it looks like. If the threshold is too high on this turbo ill go back to my t25 and rebuild it. i loved the spool on that turbo so it's not the worst thing in the world if it needs to go back on.

Men.
Turbo is on. Its goes like this
2000rpm .... No boost
3000rpm... No boost
4000rpm... Whats that slight whooshing sound?
5000rpm.... Brraaaaaaaaa
Holy f**king **** where did that telegraph pole come from!!
Needs tuning though. I got some det up high closer to 190kpa so i loaded some fuel on that shiz till i can get on my mates dyno.
Think i kinda prefer the t25. This will do for now but i might rebuild the t25 and put it back on. I might gain some rpm off the threshold my pulling timing from the cells around where it start to spool initially and add some fuel
Thlught?

Ya its a 1.6. If i got the 1.8 my road tax would be way more. Ill post the log in the morning. I did a thiird gear pull from 2k.
Didnt doubt you for a second 18! With a bit of tuning it wont be so bad i think. At least im not making boost while cruising so my mpg might benefit a bit. Its all about positives.
I might try and put the t25 exhaust housing on it if it fits. Its a bit smaller!

Just remembered a few things as i was dropping off to sleep.
1. My waste gate actuator signal is being taken from the compressor outlet. Whereas my t25 was taking its signal from the throttle body. So first job is to relocate the current set up to before tge butterfly valve of the inlet.
2. Im using waste gate pressure only. So if i ad my ebc and set it to 100% ( ie. let it bleed air out of the signal line) until 3k or so surely that will hold the waste gate fully closed a bit longer?
3. Also any thoughts on whether adding fuel to the cells just before initial spool will help? Theory being denser exhaust gases to encourage turbine to spin faster?
Gotta be worth a few hundred rpm surely!!
