Didn't fix it. Problem is getting worse. I have more testing to do, but not a whole lot of time.

Here is a log where the engine wasn't firing for ~7 seconds. You can see the TPS go up and down, but engine goes full lean and doesnt accelerate. RPM dropped slowly because I was in gear.

Also, since I know hailey doesnt read this thread. I put money down on a ring today. Turns out an old high school friend's family owns a jewelry shop. The process is super cool. All designed in CAD, then printed in wax. You get to see the ring printed in wax with the stones before they cast it.

Morganite center, with a bunch of diamonds as a halo. I stayed in budget and its going to be a perfect ring. I can't decide if I'm freaking out, or excited.

So are you sure it's spark? Could it be the fuel injectors? They share a common power wire, right? Maybe that's giving up?

I've thought about that too. I'm hoping it dies completely soon so its easier to investigate.

It goes pig rich right after it comes back in though. And smelled like fuel.

And you can see it kind of get rich following the AE pulses from the throttle.

Possible easy ways to troubleshoot:

Connect a LED to power wire from Injectors that you can see in cabin.
Connect a LED to power wire/ground wire to ignition coils so you can see in cabin.

Drive and watch which one(s) turn off when this misfire happens. Pretty easy/cheap/fast to setup and test, and that will be definitive to answer the question of whether or not these components are loosing power.

I agree on this, although I might be tempted to over engineer it and feed the signals in to the MS3 as generic sensors so that I could datalog them rather than needing to watch the lights.

Lol at MT.net bros.

Congrats Aidan, that's a big step.

It was the spark harness. Had a crimp falling apart. Recrimped with my better tool. Runs good now. Will go for a drive tonight.

Car ran great. EBC needs tooning. But no misfires for a full hour of twisty driving. Drove it to work again today. No issues.

Day 2 of no license. I hate my life.

LS coils showed up. Along with the SADFab bracket and wires. Might get it installed sometime. Going to try and powder coat it white though.

I have an extra set of coils for sale. Haven't decided if I'm going to keep them as spares or not.

Put together a "rotary potentiometer" yesterday.

Its a 5 position rotary switch with resistors between every position. Then the rotary switch changes the measurement point every turn.

This gives me a 5 position potentiometer that will be used to control boost levels, traction control slip, and launch control.

It's a slippery slope and I've been down it. First you buy a "rotary potentiometer":

Next thing you know, you're buying a rotary engine:

So when are you getting an Rx-8?

Never. Silly little things.

It works at least.

Plan to have the same thing for traction control and launch control.

The resistors were slightly screwed up somehow (came cut from a reel, but different resistors in a row, what are the chances) so it isn't perfect. But because the table isn't linear I can get 5 separate steps for boost targets.

You're 3d-printing it?

Kind of. Not me personally. Friends family owns a jewelry store. They 3d print it in wax and then carve it to fit the diamonds. Then cast it.

I get to go see it in wax tomorrow with the stones set in place.
