I have it drilled into my brain to look at an LC-1 out of the corner of my eye when doing pulls/tuning. Figured a big red ARF gauge was a good thing to keep.
And because I like to watch the boost needle skyrocket
I've been a little worried that I might loose some spool and maybe make the car not as fun to drive on the track. So I decided to bug soviet for his dyno files and compare them to my last trip to the dyno.......
And then there was that time when Aidan's car was in Road and Track... Miatagasm
Which one of you clowns was this?
You'd think a turbo Miata is a turbo Miata. But Ian's car feels nothing like Daly-Jensen's car. It's got power steering, for one—you bounce toward an apex on a fingertip. It's also an NB with a full interior, rounded and cushy plastic, an update from the NA's simple, flat panels. Ian's turbo is laggier and sleepier than Daly-Jensen's. The boost-control panel on the dash has three settings: X, Moar, and ALLofit.
Finished wiring almost all of it in. Got a connector on the boost gauge and the headlight switch wired in. I just sit in the seat and look at it drooling right now. Cannot wait to drive with it.
I also decided I didn't want the programming cable dangling around so I snagged a mini USB to USB-B (same connector I use for my panel mount ms3 connector) and installed it where the hood release used to be.
Speaking of wiring I have most of the interior wiring done. And am finishing rewiring the megasquirt for VICS and VVT. I will be using the power steering wire and AC fan wire which are both right at the TPS connector and close to the manifold. Need to run shielded knock sensor wire but otherwise the wiring is almost done. Which is good. Because I didn't want to rush it, and if the motor was in and the turbo on it I would have blown through the wiring no cares at all.
