Aidan's loose oily bunghole actually runs a track lap

I can't read people's minds and try to discuss what someone else thinks. I did the same things two years ago (bolt a bigass turbo to the motor to see how it feels). Just pointing out that didn't go as well as I thought it would, that setup was taken apart after 700 miles.
You obviously still aren't happy with your car as it is either, the thread you opened asking for help makes it obvious. Now you are in this thread saying you are ecstatic about how well it works? What the hell is it, could you try and be a tad more consistent?

See my last post. I think 600+ would be a stretch on the s200sxe. Fae went s366 when he wanted 600+
Budget is a significant portion of this too. I make decent money, and live cheap. But I don't have coin to go dropping on big money turbos all the time.
Right now I have about a 2.5k budget for the motor. (pistons, rods, oil pump, damper) and I would like to keep the turbo setup under 1k. with a cheap HX30 I bet I could keep the setup under $500.

As for 500-600 rwhp, there are so few Miatas out there making that much power that it's unclear what's going to break at that point. I would bet that there are a bunch of things that are fine at 350 that aren't at 550 other than just the rods & pistons.

There are a bunch of benefits from a twin scroll housing. You get better transient response. Better VE,
Poor mans VGT
Basically you get one with higher velocity and one with higher flow. You end up with better spool, and more topend

There is some good actual info in that thread if you keep reading.

To be fair I would brag if I had an EFR7670 sitting at home too....
Pat, you should loan that to me for a bit. Aren't you interested in how much power it would make?

I won't be offended, I'll just say no if it's not enough for me to sell it. It's just sitting in the living room next to the GT3271 and some broken pistons and a few other broken parts. I kept it cause I figured one day it might go back on the miata. Now that I know why it spooled so bad, if the SC were to take a crap on me, that's probably what I'd do. But I think I finally got the SC setup ironed out after way too many problems/design flaws/crappy welds/etc.
