Edit- would you need "ABS knuckles"? is that a thing? obviosuly youd have to get the rings on the axles too.

Yes. You need 4 abs spindles. Axles, sensors, the line routing is different. There is a computer.
There is a good thread on it somewhere.

NA abs uprights aren't easy to come across. NB spindles add track width.
I'm waiting for a parts car to show up, not worth it to me buying parts individually.

Im on 205s now, on 9s, fenders are as rolled as theyll get, offset is perfect, life is wonderful. Next set will be 225s, I might have to do a slight pull, they might just fit the way it is.

I think I figured out why I flat spotted.
I got mushy pedal and went to bleed my brakes at the end of lunch. Only did one side then ran out of time. I'm guessing that may have fucked it up. Oh well. Lesson learned.

Couldn't you potentially modify non ABS spindles?
I mean, it would be a royal PITA to hold the things, but it looks like all the spindles have the ABS ear.
If Non ABS spindles are so rare and all that keeps them from fitting is some milling... I'd make me a jig, that'd be an investment.
I know ABS axles fit on non ABS hubs, it looks like the rear sensor hangs over the spindle? That'd be easy.

Winner winner. Everything you said is right. And I may try it at some point. Its just 2 holes and a tap. I'll play with my sensor and see how accurate you actually have to be.

It'd be cool to know how accurate or flat you'd need to mill the front spindles, if the tolerances are loose it might not be that bad. The computer should fault out and go into a safe mode if a sensor were iffy right? I wouldn't want ABS falsely triggering or anything.
If spindles are rare, are the actual brains and switch block manifold thing rare? I wonder if the sensors are different, if the newer computers are all self contained..
I need to read more, always read more lol

Kinda seems like the sensor ear would need to be on a perpendicular plane to the spindle axis, a easy repeatable fixture could be as easy as flat bar of aluminum with a bore for the spindle that uses the dust shield bolt holes or something...
I'm gonna try and find an abs spindle for measuring.
Where's the extra track from the NB come from, probably the actual spindle shape inside of the hub right, the sensor won't be offset 5mm?
I would like the abs, very much.
