Alright, got the shifter stuff figured out. Ed, I just need your stock shifter for a month or 2. I should be able to reuse the one from the auction car with a little rebuild kit.

The cut that bbundy sent me is for the larger bushing, and Ed's shifter is an MSM shifter so it should be no issue. Wont be able to get a tail housing extension gasket in time, so rtv will have to do. I wish I had a steam cleaner, I'll try some purple power but this thing is most likely going in dirty.

Rear trans seal will be replaced. Rear main seal also. I had such a ******* hard time replacing the input seal last time that I'm going to cross my fingers and say fukit.

Speed sender will also need to be swapped.

And some cool new. Borrowed my Dad's DSLR for the week. Going to be documenting all this stuff with some decent pictures. The FSM is pretty straight forward, but the pictures suck.

Here are some shots with it and the new parts from Bob. (yes im no good at cameraing)

Also got an NB1 throttle body from concealer. Which will work for my VVT engine, but also gives me a good working TPS for once! Excited to play with AE and boost tables. I could have used different boost targets by throttle position on Friday. Some turns where I just want to maintain speed, but EBC would just blow straight to full boost, even at half throttle.

Wooo progress.
I'll be giving you my megasquirt as well.
Did you get the measurements you needed from the diff bushings? I obviously don't need them back yet but hopefully will before the end of the month.
Holy hell time is flying. Might need Mazda badges for the s2k for Miatas at mrls...

About to pull the trigger on a G-Force Eliminator helmet. On sale for under 200, and have them in my size and color. I want a full face helmet, and need a second helmet.

Any last minute objections?

Switching to star specs was a ******* world of difference. I never should have started on r-comps. So much easier to learn. I also changed my strategies. Start slow get faster, instead of start too fast and try and slow down.

Yeah he looked pretty good out there, for the two turns I was behind him.....
As for wednesday, i'll just be working all day, but my wife has been out of town for a week and that'll be her first evening at home so I really should be there.
I'll let you know if I can swing by though.

I'm mostly just in need of more instructing. The BMW day I got paired with Greg (the guy who runs it all) because my original instructer didn't show. Greg was a great instructor but you could tell he was focused on running an event instead of instructing me.

@curly you never responded about HOD in august

HISTORY OF MIATA SHIFTERS:
For NB2 6-speeds, Mazda enlarged the OD of the tip of the shaft (from 15mm to 17mm) and the ID of the hole in the turret (from 19mm to 21mm) vs. all NA/NB 5-speeds and NB1 6-speeds which share the smaller dimensions.
To complicate matters, all NB1/NB2 6-speed shafts have the same shorter distance between the axes of the fulcrum ***** and tip ***** vs. all NA/NB 5-speeds.
To economize on manufacturing our kits, MiataRoadster uses the same 15mm size tip on all shafts and uses proprietary thicker-walled bushings for NB2 6-speeds.
If you’re swapping a tranny, the VIN riveted onto the side of its case will confirm its source.
To the best of my knowledge, the breaking point between the NB1 and NB2 6-speeds is the VIN ending in -220738. This should apply worldwide.

6 speed assembled. Tomorrow it goes in the car.

Rear main picked up, along with 2 quarts of Ford Magical Tranny Juice....

I took so many pictures it was unnecessary. I even cleaned a few things, @Jeffbucc was proud of me. Still needs a bit more purple power treatment.
