Does anyone happen to know what V-band flanges Abe uses?

I'm using the midpipe from my ARTech setup, and FAB9 leaves the rear portion of the downpipe unflanged for you to use your own solution. I need to buy the right V-band flange to weld on to the downpipe.

Here is the flange I mentioned. The clamp has this tiny crush gasket that goes in the middle of the clamp.

I believe they *might* be from https://dixonvalve.com/. The clamp he sent me with my exhaust was from them, so I assume the v-band flanges are as well. I would shoot him an email and ask, he's pretty responsive.

I'd like to buy 2~3 more sets of his v-band flanges and clamps for when I build the rest of my exhaust, specifically because I like those little gaskety things his setup uses.

Thanks G. The gaskets seal well for sure, but they are a bitch to get in the middle of the flange while slipping the clamp over. Took a lot of finagling to get it centered correctly.

What is Abe's user name on this forum?

I believe it's just ARTech.

A couple little blobs of RTV to hold it to one of the flanges would probably help hold it in place. It would burn off pretty quickly, but then its not there to seal.

Yup. It usually takes him a while to answer PMs though, he doesn't swing though here super often. I just use the email address on his site.

They are process flanges "ferrule". I use them when I need vbands too.

I use the long butt weld ferrules so you dont have to worry about them warping to oblivion when you weld them-unlike the short ones.

I need to order one of these flanges too and I am having trouble locating a place to purchase them. Anyone got a link directly to the flange? I can't find anything on the dixon site.

abe@artechfabrication.com is his email. I sent him an email trying to find more info on them and ended up just getting a flange, new clamp, and 3 gaskets(extras) from him instead of going through an alternate source.

If someone is looking for a quote for their signature this might be your guy right here...

Mobius 03-05-2015 03:29 PM

That's a good one. High risk factor for me to deploy that one, though.

$1500 94 M Edition w/hardtop. Pretty beat but the hard top is tipping me away from "hell no"
94 Mazda Miata M edition

#beergoggles:rofl:

Efini~FC3S 03-07-2015 07:48 AM

Yea...but if anyone can bring it back from the brink, it's you Jeff!

At $1200-1300 this is a no brainer. Sub $1500 miatas with a decent shape hard top are a buy sight unseen sort of deal.

Go now...before it's too late!

Monk 03-07-2015 08:46 AM

As much as I would love to see you restore another car; that thing is a complete pile of shit.
I suppose you could at least make your money back in selling the diff and block, so cheap hard top?
