Default Oil Catch Cans

There has been a great need for a good MSM catch can for some time now. We finally got around to building them. We will do one for the NB next.

Why can't that one be used on any car?

just gotta change the brackets and find a location. but a universal design should be sold so the people who use zipties, like myself, would buy one :P

Good question! Normally, the NB and NA do not have an oil return line like the MSM. The third bung on here is a secondary oil drain line to the oil pan. The one we put on my car will not have a drain line, but a smaller drain plug just to empty it.

The 1.6L has an awesome port just next to the oil filter you can return into....I'd love to hook into it.......just putting that out there.

between the filter and my foot, that rubber cap.

To the engine or frame of car? The can, itself, mounts to the frame in two places. We have fit it around an oil filter than has been relocated as well. I will get photos of that too.

To the engine - you would run a line from the cam cover breather to the inlet on the catch can. Then run the return line (if you want) to the turbo inlet tube. We are going to try and locate one on the driver side as well.

Then the catch can for the MSM would work well on it also!

my cam cover has 2 breather ports. (i dont use a pcv valve.)

can we have a 3rd port for the turbo inlet or a breather/filter on the catch can?

and please tell me this will be inexpensive.

We're gonna put one on the NB at the diagnostic port. Just behind the strut tower. Would that work better?
