EGR is a must if you ask me. Older cars will have a hard time getting through the sniffer test, and newer ones will get a CEL. Switching out the intake manifold every year is too much work.
Vac ports aren't too big of a deal since vac blocks are pretty cheap and look cool.

My car goes to the dyno in a week for baseline tuning. That was the earliest we could schedule it. The Xede and injectors are back on/in it. When it comes back, the new intake manifold, with the longer/round runners, goes on. It goes for tuning again probably the following week....

The 1.8L manifold has not been to the dyno yet. Someone else is testing the 1.6L manifold though. I feel your frustration though. Tim is back in school now and is getting the NC wrapped up. We need to clone him and Corky so that we can gets things done faster.
