Pinion gear?
I have depowered my steering rack. But no one will weld my pinion gear. in fact they all asure me that what im looking to do is not possable. they say its hardend steel and will break. i like its a ******* inch thick!!! even if it weakens it to the point of being wood I dont think I could break that if I tried. Correct me if im wrong but being that its splines directly to the small steel shaft at the steering colum, then to the steering wheel. It will only see as much force and i can exscert with my two hands. If somthing was going to break from my huge mussles dont you think the small splines on the steel shaft by the stering joint would strip before breaking the weld on the pinion gear???!!! OK with all that aside.....Artech..do you weld these? can i send mine to you and have you do it and send it back? i cant think of any other way. want it done asap tho its holding up all further progress with my build. Thinking the steering rack wont to in easy with the motor in place so i cant even put my engine back in??
