EMS-4 12+1 and sequential ignition on MSM - first start help
Trying to get my '04 MSM started for the first time and not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Bryan sent me a base map. I've fixed the backfires, it now stumbles when cranking. Not sure what to adjust next, minor adjustments to the lower left of the fuel map have some effect. I think I wasn't dumping enough fuel previously.
If anyone has some tips on what I should look at next, let me know. Ideally I want to learn this ECU in detail and street tune myself but satisfied if I can at least get it to safely drive to a tuner.

Are you using the OE Cam Angle Sensor or did you modify it? In order to get my EMS4 up I had to shave one of the two tangs off the CAS (inside the housing).
I also had to isolate the IACV circuit - It was generating noise that interfered with the Crank sensor signal and that resulted in a problem similar to what you are experiencing. I believe you can unplug the IACV and see if you can get it to start.

This is on an MSM, CAS is a magnetic sensor on the intake cam gear not a CAS on the back of the exhaust cam.
I have tried unplugging my IAC, doesn't seem to have any effect. Just considered the fact that the gas in the car is a year old, so I added 5 gallons of fresh 93 octane and waiting for the battery to recharge. Thinking I might also turn my idle screw up a small amount.

Finally got it running, idling decently, drivable. Still have a few issues. The stock ECU is doing alternator control and it works fine every time I start and idle it in the garage but anytime I go for a drive around the block it starts running on battery. I'll post my CAL later.
Not getting a VSS signal, going to e-mail boomslang and ask what it's wired to in the factory harness.
IAC is buzzing, appears to be working well but need to play with frequencies to quiet it down.
Finally, I don't think the EBC is closing with the settings I have. Looks like I'm only getting to waste gate pressure under boost.
