Just installed everything, injector on cylinder 1 not firing?
Before I tear into my 03 to get the injectors out yet again, I wanted to see if anyone has had issues with an injector not firing due to something within the adaptronic. I just finished the install and got it running for the first time tonight, using the 600CC map on my 550CC rx-7 injectors. My rough idle, screwdriver stethescope, and checking the plug tells me that the first injector is not firing.
Coil resistance looks good - 15ohm, and the solenoid is clicking when tested on a battery. Next check is to swap 1 and 2, after a couple beers.
Just wondering if there's some setting I'm missing. Car started first try with that map and runs fairly smooth for only 3 cylinders, so it's not all bad.

so at this point I think I was barking up the wrong tree - on the first installation one of the orange gaskets in the clips was preventing me from engaging the clip the whole way, but now they're all good and from the injector test with the car off all 4 solenoids sound good as well.
idle is still pretty rough, though I'm not getting the surging others have. power also seems down in the short trip down the street i took. back to the manual.

Everyone here starts off with a super rough tune. Travis is working on the base maps and they are improving, but its still a far cry from just "flash it in and go".
Make sure all your "analogue" settings are calibrated and set properly. You will also need to spend a good bit of time in the "corrections" section of the adaptronic interface to set up a proper idle and all that jazz.
Keep a good eye and ear out for knock/pinging though. A few of us already have blown motors/melted pistons from improper timing settings

Big Jim,
What's your configuration? I have a decent map for 600s on my 2002 SE... I spent months messing with the tune and finally got it to a place where I am more-or-less happy. I can run the AC, Headlights, and come off the highway and she'll still idle
Lemme know and I'll post the map to lend a hand.
Cheers,
Prospero

Map attached.
It is rich in some areas that need to be played with... but it's smooth and a good place to start.

thanks for the map Matt - I had been busy with other things and finally got back to the black car last week.
I finally got fed up with swapping injectors all over and had them cleaned by a local guy.
It was the damn first injector all along - It was at about 60% flow of the other 3, and one of the others was about 75%. I was baffled because I could pass fluid through all of them when I engaged the solenoids, and all resistance was good. Just gunked up I guess.
I just put everything back together for the 57th time and it idled most excellently - until i smelled the fuel spritzer that the o-ring on my last injector was soaking the rear of the engine bay with. Guess I'll need to put it together one last time for good luck.
Glad to know it was the injector the whole time, the adaptronic seems to be doing it's job so far...
