99 Miata with hardtop, teins, and frame damage- $4000
I bought this car with intentions of daily driving it for a while and then parting it out, but I haven't had time to start the part out yet so I'm going to try listing it for sale for a few weeks. It's been my daily/beater for about a year now and has never left me stranded.
The bad. Aka, the reason I planned to part it out:
It was in a front-end collision at some point. They did a pretty good job of fixing everything on the outside but they didn't bother fixing the cracked frame rails, which has allowed quite a bit of rust. The damage is completely in front of the front subframe attachment points, so the only structural issue is with the front sway bar. This car would not be a good candidate for an auto-x or track build without repairing the frame damage first, but it makes a great little daily driver/beater. I was lazy and tried to take pictures of the frame damage without jacking the car up and, no surprise, the pictures came out pretty shitty. I'll try to get some more soon.
Details:
-99 model
-184,000 miles
-5 speed
-Torsen
-Working A/C
-Black on black
-Hardtop
-The original softtop was trashed and moldy so I removed it. I still have it if you want the frame.
-Racing Beat cat-less midpipe with stock 99 header and stock rear section-- has a constant CEL because of this. Barely louder than stock and sounds surprisingly good.
-Tein Street Advance coilovers- great daily driver coilovers. Less than 6 months old.
-Currently on 14" E30 weaves with General Altimax snow tires
-I also have the stock 5 spokes with some dry-rotted garbage tires
-New rubber shifter boots and new radiator last fall
-Drivers seat was ripped pretty bad so I replaced it with a foam-ectomied NA seat that I had in the garage
-The paint on the rear bumper is cracked. Against my better judgement, I did a track day in this car last fall. I might have done a little bump drafting.
-It had a spoiler when I bought it. I hated it. I threw it in the trash and covered the holes in the trunk lid with some black vinyl.
Price: $4000, pretty firm. If I don't get that amount in the next few weeks then I'll start the part out. Feel free to go ahead and PM me if you're interested in parts, but don't expect a reply until the part out begins.
